I'm adding a louder horn to my '04 4.7L. It's the horn that you can buy with the two plastic trumpets. It says to hook the existing horn relay to the new horn compressor. Can someone tell me where the existing horn relay is?

Those little compressors don't draw much power. Just hook it up to the stock horn actuator wires. Worked for me.

In my 92, one horn was near the battery tray, tap into that wire.

Those horns suck, I bough them, they're not that loud. You need to spend about $120 each to get a really good blast. Better off getting a louder electrical horn.

Those are the wires that actuate the horns. You'll find them plugged in to the back of the horns themselves. Pos to Pos, and Neg to Neg. Simple.

Those stock horns actually pull some power.
Found that out.

This was about 15 years ago but my friend and i when we were teen agers were messing around with his '73 318 Duster.
Bored one day, we were at the salvage yard and got about a dozen assorted horns from various cars.
We mounted ALL of them under the hood of his Duster. We had to run EXTRA relays and heavy gauge wire right to the battery just to power them all. Well, when he hit the button, holy cow it was loud! For some reason his stereo would SHUT OFF when we hit them horns! And they were ran right to the battery via a relay! Must have been the stock ground that suffered.
And nothing like hearing a dozen horns all at different tunings! It got people attention, but my friend jerked them off after a few weeks. I loved the sh*t out of them horns. I was bummed when he got rid of them.

just go to the junkyard and get some descent horns from vehicles KNOWN to have loud and scary horns. (Definitely NOT Honda's!)

My two stock horns are fairly loud on my '03. But I too have thought of a air horn for fun :-)
