Subject: After Alignment Truck Still Pulls Right

I just put 33x12.50's on my 00 Dakota and the other day before getting my ball joints replaced under the recall I jacked my torsion bars up 2 inches. Of course I had the dealer do an alignment and the truck pulls right pretty good. I say "pretty good" because I have to put an effort in the wheel to keep her straight on the highway even in the middle lane (acounting for the crown in the road). The tech said that everything was within spec and that sometimes vehicles will just pull right and that's normal. I told him I just dumped 500+ dollars on new shoes for my ride and didn't want them to be chewed up in 15k miles and he assured me that as long as the front end is within spec they'll be fine. He said that if he compensates for the trucks tendancy to pull right that it would probably damage the tires...is he feeding me a line of BS or is this true?

If your fighting the wheel after an alignment, something is off. Did it do this before cranking on the torsion bars and the alignment?

I've had the bad experience of having to take my truck back 3-4 times to get the alignment done right, no pulling and steering wheel centered.

Try rotating your tires around. I've had a couple of occations where a tire was actually causing the vehicle to pull. I had it happen once with a brand new set of Bridgstones. Needless to say the bum tire was replaced. Just swap your left and right front tires and see if it pulls left. If it does, you have a tire problem.

could be a sticky front caliper? after driving a while feel both the front wheels to make sure that the right is not hotter than the left. other than that do what figols said.
