Subject: speedometer calibration?
IP: Logged

Message:
Have any of you guys changed tire diameter and had
your speedometer recalibrated? How difficult and/or
expensive was it? Are there any limitations?

FWIW, I've got an '05 Laramine 2WD Quad on order
that I'm putting CenterLine 18's on. I'm thinking of going
with a 30" tall tire instead of a 29" (stock height), which
will cause the speedo to read about 5% slow.

Thanks,
Lemmers

A simple search would have answered your question. Don't worry, i'll take time out of my busy day to do that for you.

Uh, sorry Skylar, I did seach and found that link, as well
as a few others. What I didn't find however, was any
clear cut answers.

That being said, I appreciate your effort, but suggest
you actually read the posts you link before taking time
out your busy day to shoot your mouth off....

Later,
Lemmers

I'd say that link answers the questions you asked. If that's not the answer you want, try rephrasing the question.

Question: How difficult was it?
Answer: They walked into the dealership.

Question: How much was it?
Answer: Either free, or insignificant if you use a dealer recommended tire size.

Got both of those answers in about 20 seconds via a search...

Use just the tiniest bit of exertion this time, I’ll bet you'll get your answer.

BTW: If those aren't the answers you wanted - then you asked the wrong question. Try again.

I suggest you reread your origional post before shooting YOUR mouth off.

Alright Skylar, you win, I'm asking the wrong
question...

Please allow me to rephrase:

Has anyone changed tire diameter and had
your speedometer recalibrated?

If so, how difficult and/or expensive was it?

Are there any limitations such as min/max tire
diameter?

If you name is Skylar, please don't reply.

Ok, I'm pretty sure I've got the question(s)
exactly right now. (Yes I've searched but am
still looking for something a bit more
concrete.)

Thanks in advance
Lemmers
