Hello can I get someone to go out to their ext cab Dakota, and get some measurements for me. Could I get from the back of the driver seat to the front of the back seat when it is in the down and up postion.

I'll be drivin past a Dodge dealer on Friday and it'll be NO PROBLEM to swing in and get those measurements for you.

Mine's a 2003. Don't think that they changed the interior from the 2000 CC.
Let me know how you want the front seat positioned for the measurement (ie: Front seat pushed all the way forward or full back. Front seatback straight up or reclined) Also where do you want it measured. Sounds like you want (1) the horizontal distance, from the front top edge of the rear seat, to the back of the front seat and (2) the horizontal distance from the lowest edge of the back seat bottom (in raised position) to the back of the front seat.
BTW, is this for a sound system or baby seats : )
