 Subject: 4x4 front hub/bearing

ok, I just bought a 94 slt ext cab 4x4, I had a grinding noise, not continous but it went faster and slower with speed, I changed the u-joints on the front shaft, not that, I decided to pull apart the front left hub to check the bearings, well, as I pulled the cv shaft out, the race on the inner bearing came with it, my question is, isn't this supposed to be sealed? should it come apart like that and expose the bearings? at least I think I found my problem.....

OK, Just put in the new Hub/Bearing, and cv shaft. the noise is gone, thank god.
