yo, need some lube advice here. Crawled under my truck and the springs are dry as a bone as well as the sway bar/bushings and u-joints on my drive shaft. Is that okay??? I've heard of people lubing the sway bar/bushings and springs, and also my dad had a truck that the drive shaft snapped off of and someone told me it was because there was no lubricant on the u-joints.

Do these things need to be lubed and what kind do you guys recommend? oh yeah, and HOW DO YOU GET RID OF THAT STINKIN SQUEAKIN sound on a dropped truck? Do I need to lube the shocks? MAYBE I should just lube the whole underside of the truck I dunno...

Go to a NAPA store and buy a tube of Sil-Glyde. It's a silicone lubricant that won't break down rubber like grease will. Apply it to all the squeakin' rubber parts after you clean them up real good where they contact the sway bar (disassembly required). It's not a final cure; you'll have to repeat eventually.
You can apply WD40 to the shock rods and seal area where they enter the shock, again, after you clean them up real good. That'll quiet them down for a while.

if i were u i would go on e-bay and buy some polyurathane bushings that will take of your front end also will help with the camber of your front tires where they wont lean as much and also help on handling and for the back
i have never heard of greashing shocks go to napa and get some monroe shocks for your year and make of your dakota that should take care of the back
