i assume the 01 manual would be good for an 00? how much difference is there between these years?

I can's say for sure but the body styles are similar. In 2001 they offered the 4.7L V8 which I had. I don't think that was available in 2000.

The 4.7 was avaliable in 2000, because that's what is in my truck. They changed the dash from 00 to 01 though so if theres anything to do with that the book would probably be useless.
