Well...I have raped this forum for days now and cannot find a thread discussing a 'sticky speedometer'. 01 Dak 4dr 4wd 5.9, 44000. Speedo is not correct but it is the 32"BFG's causing that error. But the speedometer actually sticks in any position that I maintain a speed for any time. I have to increase or decrease speed by as much as 10mph before the speedo moves. I'm sure its electronic but once it's stuck, you can tap the instrument cluster and it will move towards the correct speed with each tap! Plan to replace the rear axle speed sensor and tru speed the error margin...but don't think that will help the 'sticky'....
