I have a 2004 4WD Dakota and noticed these aren't included in the recall. Does anyone know if the 2004's use different balljoints and don't have the same problem?

Thanks.

I would like to know what happens w/04s too. I have a 2004 QC 4.7 AWD that has been clunking and popping in the front end when I turn since I bought it new w/12 miles on it. It now has 3300 miles and it still does it. Sounds like a faulty ball joint to me.

I too have a 04 QC and am very concerned, I sent an email to the NTSB (Peter Kivett) in his reply he wrote. Chrysler fixed the problem concerning ball joints starting with the 2004 model vehicles with a completely redesigned ball joint. If you have an 04 Dakota you should be OK.
I sure hope so. I emailed 2 nasty letters to Dodge but no reply yet

Umm then get it checked thats what warranties are for, same reason people have wheels that fall off, they ignore signs of a problem
