I was wondering if anyone had a picture, or a step-by-step document on how to put the drum brakes together on an 89 dodge dakota 4x4.
I have one side put on, but i want to make sure it's right before it goes on the road.
I already searched for it and i can't find anything.

Thanks ..

i don,t have a picture but i,ll try to give you details,

long shoe goes in the rear, ebrake arm goes on the top hole,spring[1 of the 2 heavy 1s] goes in the next hole then goes to the pen at top on the backing plate between both shoes[theres a little plate that goes on the spring for the self adjust cable],next the nail like pen goes threw the backing plate hole and threw the hole in the center of shoe[this holds the shoe to the backing plate]now you have the self adjuster that goes at the bottom of shoe[this points to the rear][this is the thing that turns in and out and has a slot at each end]place your adjustment arm on and cable to this arm, hook the long thin spring threw both shoes down near the bottom, there one shoe done

do the same on front shoe with out ebrake arm, cable and adjustment arm

If you ever get stuck on the brakes, just take off the other tire on the other side and use to compare it.
