99 5.2 slt 4x4 auto - dodge replaced my steering shaft 2x under warrenty. its time for a new one again ! who makes a good aftermarket one that will last ? unlike the crap dodge replaces with ?? thanks for your help

I keep reading about this. What exactly goes bad? Just bought an 01 and there is like a creaky moan that I noticed in the column when I turn. Is this a symptom and does it just keep getting worse?
