Can you give me some info on that $20 Kmart pump you bought to get the fluid out of the rear differential?

Name or section of the store would be helpful

I went to Kmart and couldn't find it.

The pump was in sporting goods around the boating supplies.
I've also seen them in auto supplies.

I recommend you pull the cover JUST IN CASE. I say that because each time I had my rear diff serviced, they just pumped the old out and the new in through the hole in the cover. At 71K my speed sensor went bad and part of it broke off while changing it out. Thinking it might be easier to access from inside the rear diff, I pulled the cover only to find a rather large broken off part of a retainer clip laying in the bottom of the diff.


I posted some time back about my find and several other Dak owners replied saying that when they found the same parts, the dealership ended up completely rebuilding their rear differentials.
