You'll have to pardon my ignorance, I’ve always been a sports car kind of guy - this is my first experience with a truck.

I've always used my Palm Pilots to interface with my sports vehicles - probably the best tuning product I have ever spent money on - and I’ve learned the hard way that every vehicle has a preferred cable and interface manufacturer. It just seems like someone always manages to do it best, and at the best price.

Is there a preferred or recommended OBD II cable and interface for our Dakotas? (2002 Quad) Or can anyone offer any suggestions before I purchase one. Ideally I need it to interface with a Dell Axim X30 (although I think I can modify the cable if need be).

Thanks so much, i searched the forums but couldn't seem to find an answer to this.

Can`t help you but I have a few questions if you don`t mind. What motor and trans do you have? What changes are you able to do? Shift points, fuel trim,etc... I have the 4.7 auto and am curious if these things are possible without problems(like losing the stock programming).

Thanks
