Just get a battery operated one from target for like 6 bucks. Its cheep easy and if you bust it loading something into the bed its no big deal.
That is whats easiest

My dak has a little harness poking out from the rear of the driver's side bedliner (prolly ran off the same source wires as the brakelight) where my cap light plugged in.
