Subject: Question on a 95 2.5 dak
IP: Logged

Message:
I'm looking at a 95 2.5L short bed dak for my mom. The engine has 111,000 miles on it. It also has the ax-15 tranny. Will the engine still have some life left in it or is it done for?? The rest of the truck is mint.

Thanks

It was driven by a older man that use it to commute to work and fir small dump runs. I drove the truck today and it seems to run very well the olny thing it will need is a clutch soon. It ot new brakes, tires and rear bumper. the body it stright with no dent. It just got the typical scratches on the bed from ten years of use. The guy want $3000 for it I'm gonna offer him $2500 and see what he says.

My '94 just passed 140,000 mile and seems to run just fine yet. I checked the comp. and it is still good and it does not burn any oil though it does leak some.

I have a 95 Dak 2.5l 4 blew a head gasket at 130,000. Valve seat broke out. While the head was off I noticed that the original cross-hatching was still visible in all cylinders. I added Slick 50 at 7,000, 55,000 and will again next oil change. Only problems have been water pump and radiator that needed replacement. All this from a truck that was totaled at 108,000
