I've got the ol' P0420 (rediced cat efficiency) code on my 2000 3.9 Dak. I've been told this could be either a bad cat or a bad O2 sensor (my truck acts like I'm driving through mashed potatoes). I have alos been told by a mechanic friend of mine that I can get some sort of magic elixir at Auto Zone, etc., that, put in my gas, will kind of replenish my cat if it has indeed gone bad. Is this a load of horse hockey, or is it actually possible?
