A friend of mine runs a detail shop and he says armor all is not good for the dash becauce it contains alcohol. this will dry out and crack dash over time.
look for a protectant that does not contain alcohol.armor all may have changed there formula or may carry a different brand. it has been a number of years since i have used it. i live in Florida so protecting vinyl and paint is important.

i use Maguire's vinyl protectant
you can use it on tires also
It was recommended by the manufacture of my tonneau cover. The directions for tonneau cover stated DO NOT USE ARMOR ALL it will void warrantee due to vinyl shrinage.

I worked at an auto detailing shop for a while so I have tried many products. The best thing to use on interior plastics, vinyl, and leather is any kind of leather treatment. I have used that on all of my vehicles. It is not a greasy and it really penetrates the surface a help protect it. I used so much on my sentra that I really don't ever need to put anything on my dash. Save the armorall for your tires and exterior trim, but I even prefer silicone over armorall

I sprayed armoral original on my dash and unfortunately I also sprayed my speedometer window. Does anyone have any ideas how to get this stuff off of a plastic window? I hope there is a solution as it looks terrible. Worse yet, I did this on my wife's car.....

I usually give mine a nice thick coat of Vaseline.
Unless it's sick, then I use Vaporub.
