So has any one seen the new Dakotas in the showrooms lately?

I'm interested in looking at the interior
than the exterior.!

I looked at the interior of an '05 in the dealer's show room last weekend. What a disappointment! In my opinion, the materials were cheap, hard and plain looking. Very squared off and linear. It makes the interior of my '00 R/T look like a Lexus interior by comparison.

I agree with 00RTRC 100%, STS. I also looked and
once I heard about the 3.7 V6 problems, I don't
want any part of them at this point in time.

I'm also not about to give up my 02 4X4, 4.7
Sport now with replaced rotors and pads with
better aftermarket parts, keeping a close eye on
one upper ball joint that has minor play, serviced
tranny, installed tranny drain kit, only to start
all over again with a 05 with the same fault
problem issues.

DM can keep their 05 Dakotas untill ALL the OLD
problems are taken care of. They have had PLENTY
of time to address them!

I agree, I bought a 97 right when they came out, and it ended up costing me big time. I'm surprised that they still haven't fixed some of the more major problems in the last 7 years that they have been making them. I always wait about 3 years before buying a new model vehicle. I don't feel the need to be the first kid of the block with anything these days.
