I'm getting ready to part ways with my 'ol Dakota. Here are the critical specs:
1997 Dakota Sport, 3.9L, 4x4, 2-door extended cab (Black).
Automatic transmission
I bought it new 7 years ago and have put on every mile myself.
Tonneau cover and rubber mat bed-liner included.
*150,000 miles
I have an AstroStart remote starter and keyless entry. This little jewel has a quarter mile range. Great for starting on the cold mornings before heading to work.
The oil is changed RELIGIOUSLY (Valvoline synthetic 5W-30) every 3,000 miles from day one.
Getting ~18MPG on the highway and 15MPG on the city/highway.

*The odometer is showing 109,000 miles right now but that is because the original cluster died on me (still haven't figured out why) and I used a boneyard replacement. The difference between the reading on the original and replacement cluster is 46,887.

I'm asking $5,000 (kbb.com shows that the value is $6,290). I have maintained this truck impeccably and feel that the next owner isn't just buying transportation but a significant part of my life as well as my blood and sweat from maintenance. I need a vehicle that is bigger to haul around my family. This truck is sold as-is but I'll say this…she is strong and starts EVERY day. Never left me stranded due to a mechanical malfunction.

The front bumper paint is chipped and rusting and the rear bumper has a few rust spots starting to show through. The body has NO rust (that I can see) and EVERYTHING works on the truck as it should: Electrical, HVAC, power windows, etc. I live in the Redford, MI area and will be willing to drive a bit to show/sell the truck. I can get pictures if anyone is interested. You can e-mail me at bholsing@ford.com (use the subject DAKOTA) if you are interested or need additional information.

I forgot to mention...I have the original service manual for the truck as well. That will be included with the vehicle for no cost. I also have a block heater (haven't had a chance to install it) you can have too.
