I just read on motortrend.com that in 2006 there is going to be a Dakota SUT added to the lineup.
Has anyone heard anything more about this?
I assume it means something similar to the Avalanche style system.

I would have thought the quad cab qualified as a SUT. Maybe it will look more like the hummer H3T or the jeep rescue vehicle - boxier and more off-road capable?
I also saw on one of the websites a reference to a SUV based on a mitsubishi platform. I thought DC was pulling out of mitsubishi?

I haven't heard this. Just wanted to mention: as far as DC pulling out of Mitsubishi? Yeah, right. Since the stratus/sebring platform is mostly mitsubishi, as well as the R/T's 3.0 V6.

Yeah DC is no longer going to fund mitsubishi. They are likely to sell their stake in the company as well. Some of the DC lines were built in mitsubishi plants and that will end over the next year or two.

That's a great move by Daimler Chrysler. I owned a Sebring and all I can say is $hitsubishi!!!
