Went back to the dyno to check the results of my most recent mods. To give a little history, my truck is a 5.2 4x4 with an automatic tranny and 3.55 rearend, my first pulls were about 6 months ago with only an AirAid and Gibson Dual exhuast with 31x10.50 tires. The best pull that day was 173 rwhp and 256 ft/lbs. Saturday, with the addition of a Mopar PCM, QuickD TB, 3923's and 32 inch tires, I pulled 194rwhp and 272 ft/lbs. Unfortunately, I forgot to take my stock TB with me, so I could try to isolate the gains a little better, but over all I am very happy. Next mod will be the 180 T-Stat that's been laying on the table for a week, and then it's time to start shopping for headers.

What year is your Dakota? Mine ia a 99 and it seems we have the same stock setup. How much were your mods after you pulled 194rwh.I would like to see what mine is doing with straight duals and my Edelbrock breather.

Mine is a 99 too. PCM was around $300 and I picked the TB up used for $150. My Dyno sheet says peek torque was 313, but i think that was a spike...looks really cool though!

Good info. The spike probably occured when it changed gears. I have a cold air intake with intense performance filter, 3923s, 31" tires, 3.55s, ported TB, and a Flo-Pro muffler, no PCM though so I should be within 8-10 hp.

What part of the country you live in, not many dynos in North Carolina (other than the NASCAR team shops which aren't open to commoners)

North Carolina;-) Swansboro to be exact, but the dyno shop is in Jacksonville. I believe there is another commonly used on in Raliegh.
