Does anyone know if the later yer model R/Ts rear disc brakes will mount to the 01 rear axle? ( i think it was 2003 they had rear disc..) I've seen the conversions from several companies, but would rather have all mopar parts in case theres trouble with anything later on.

Yes, they do. I have one. The rotors are bigger (12") and the calipers have a double piston instead of the older single one.

There isn't an official conversion kit, but you could order and swap the parts from an 03 R/T to a previous year. However, considering how badly Daimler-Chrysler and their dealerships mark up their service parts, it would probably cost an arm and a leg to purchase in comparison to the $600 or so it costs for an SSBC kit which is in use by quite a few R/T owners.

Already looked into prices, www.moparpartz.com
calipers $166 rotors are $146 and pads $83 totaling to $395... the only hard 'part' to find so far is the caliper mounting brackets...I may just end up fabricating a bracket if needed, but I'd rather find the right parts...Anyone have an idea where I could find em? I'm looking into the dealership and salvage....
>>>.> so where's the arm and leg part? I'm coming up way under the SSBC kit, and its all replaceable with easily found parts. BTW what does the SSBC kit suggest for replacement pads and rotors? are they easy to get from a parts store, or do you have to order em from SSBC? I might have to go that route if I can't get these Damed brackets!
