Just purchased a '04 Dakota Sport Plus (Black, 4.7, 4x4, it also had $1,500 worth of things already on it I had to buy, tonneau cover, chrome exhaust tip, aluminum fuel door, mud flaps, and a red/silver pinstripe down side with a ram's head logo in it (<- $200 FOR THAT), I was wondering if anyone can tell me what is up with the fender wells? The front has a nice viewing hole of the engine :) I live in upstate NY and cannot wait until the snow starts falling so I can fling all kinds of crap into the engine bay (lol). Ok seriously I know Mopar offers a fender well cover kit thingy, anyone know if this will cover the "viewing area"? Did Dodge just go cheap or is this for cooling or some other reason? So far I am really liking this truck I must say.

Jealous;
Do you have a Dodge/Mopar part # for the fender well cover kit?
I've got an '04 SXT Quad with the same issue. The parts guy at my servicing dealer is looking through catalogues but hasn't come up with a part # yet...

I guess they are only for Rams and only the rear wells.

A guy I work with (04 SXT QC) said the older ones had like a piece of rubber hanging there, maybe this would be an option?

Guess it's time to buy some 1/4 inch thick rubber matting and get inventive!
