 Subject: Power Steering problems?

Today I did a little four wheeling and everything was going great until I spun a couple donuts is some dirt and my power steering went out. About a half hour later on the drive home it came back out of no where. This is the second time my power steering has gone out while four wheeling and then come back out of no where. I took it to the dealership after the first time and they said nothing was wrong so the couldnt replace it under warranty. Anybody experienced this? Is it a bad steering pump? Or are they not supposed to handle doing donuts in some dirt? Any advice would be appreciated. thanks

I had the same problem on my 2000. I had 100,000
mile so I took it to Pep Boys and they had to go to the dealer for the part I think it was 250.00 for thr pump and 120.00 labor.

Glad to hear I am not the only one, because this is the second time it has happened shouldnt that be enough to have the dealer replace it under warrany? Even though it is working now?
