how many of you out there are aware that EVERY time you click on this website, a company called pub13.bravenet that has, as far as I can find out , ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS SITE other then track you for no reason excpt to TRACK YOU for someone other then Mark H's needs is is tracking you? Mark are you aware that a third party has a tracker on this????

Get Lavasofts latest version of AdAware, best program for removing those pesky cookies, and data miners, tracking files, gator, gain, ect ect... this program takes about 5 minutes to run, scan, and eliminate anything out there, update it every week and stay spam free!
And BTW, adaware is free, but I dontated and got the full version with a few extra features, its well worth it. You can get a copy from Download.com, over 1.5 million downloaded and growing!

Better than adaware or spybot... you might want to try out the yahoo toolbar with spyware blocking. It finds spyware that adaware and spyware doenst find. Its much faster than either of them as well.

hu dude I already block 3rd party cookies, that is how I found out. when the spy eye in ei 6 came up and told me so. my oldest is a computer geek (professional) and runs a 300 node network and I'll bet dollars to donuts that this machine I am on is more secure then all but a very few on the internet. I have a router, properly setup, behind the cable modem and have been running spyware interceptors and a software firewall on top of that plus scan 2x a day on viruses, yes a bit paranoid but I have not had viruses or worms or what ever and have gone as much as 225 days without a reboot. however just rebooted due to wxpsp2 install.
I just wondered if the rest of you noticed that a third party was tracking you while I was blocking it's attempt to track and log me?
yes mark it is bravenet that I am blocking so that means I am not showing up on here if I am blocking them???? now really I know that is not how it works, at best it means that everytime I am on here the counter does not count me, and they cannot read the cookies, if any, that others have left. btw, for those of us that also block tagalong popups, the few that in the past that tagged along on here (that have not come up in a long time) are also no longer showing up on my machine.
wal??? as far as my use of the site, that blocked cookie from bravenet does not limit my access to the areas that I use nor does it report to the third party when I am on here as it cannot figure out who my computer is. so from my perspective it has nothing to do with this site. I have no problem with virtual masters as it is a condition they put out to host this fine collection of ideas and information that Mark has put up for us to use, however it is my opinion that third party cookies are nothing more then leaches and should be crushed or burned as needed. nothing personal just an opinion.
