Oh... I wouldn't worry 'bout ordering anything just yet, 'cept maybe a nice Access cover, some handy Westin steps, maybe those nice window vent visors, and maybe a nice 'Support Our Troops' ribbon and an American Flag sticker or two for the back window. Oh, LineX would look cool, too.
Then get a nice truck tent if you're into camping.
If you do have the tow package, get one of those little hitch ball ornaments, finishes the truck off nice. I'll leave the motor mods to the guys as they're the experts in that. BTW, your Dak will get you to the campsite and back, w/out being towed... ; )

Everyday I look for stuff to start falling off, corroding, or peeling. It does have a couple scratches, one from my horse, another from the neighbor's tractor. I drive with the radio off at times to listen for any grinding, clunking, squealing or whining sounds. Can't hear a thing.

I'm so disappointed in the stock tires, the darn things will probably give me 60k. Looks like the only way my passenger floor carpet gets wet will be if one of the kittens pees on it. It is awesome in the snow (upstate NY).

I looked under the hood to see if it was a disguised Nissan or something, but noooo, it's all Dodge.

Too many here beat their trucks, 'specially the 'weaner whiners' (weaners are young colts, just barely away from their mommas, they scream a lot, fitting huh?) Bet you can pick one out on this thread. I wish I had their, or their parent's $. I bought my truck because of Dodge's good rep w/ my family, many friends, a mechanic I've done buisness with for 15+ years, a few farmers, you get the picture. Lastly, their looks and specs. Everything I needed and wanted. Couldn't be happier. Would buy another tomorrow. No more taking a chance overall than anything else that's out there, in fact probably less of a chance.

My truck works, but it gets taken care of. I'm not the least bit worried. Any ball joints I order will just end up as paper weights. Yours will take care of you if you return the favor. They're just machines. Besides, that's what the warrenty is for. That's where good dealer/mechanic relationship comes into play. That's where researching your truck before you buy it comes into play, too.

BTW, mine is '03 QC v8 4x4, tow, LSD, 49k. Dressed up a little, and I did put a FIPK on it (actually my Dad did, but I opened the box!) All synthetic fluids, maintainance to the book, except oil @ 5K (first change @ 1500k).

Enjoy your new baby, only neg I can think of (sorry) is you may wish you had a v8 down the road.

Sorry so long guys.

thanks mr scooter for the nice post, makes me feel better. so far so good. the truck rides great considering its heavy duty suspension. everyone who see's is has great comments and loves the room and look. i am still trying to find out if the 3.7 i have under the hood is from the jeep liberty, but i will find that answer in time i assume. so far i have the few small glitches you find with any new car/truck. the engine is idling a little rough and causing a very faint bucking motion right as the tranny hits overdrive traveling from 41-50mph. the bed isnt perfectly lined up with the truck. the shop is adding free fender flairs and tenting it for me for free (if you get a chance to buy from goodson dodge i highly reccomend it) so they will attend to those issues friday. im not worried about having the v-8, this little 3.7 really moves with the 3.93 rear end. also i hardly tow anything at all and i am sure when i do it wont be over 4k so i should be in good shape. so far i really couldnt be much more pleased. i hope that by taking care of it as i did my last truck i can take this thing to 150k.
also i will take your advice on the bed lining, hitch and light up dodge emblem. i also think those are some must haves.
