JUST SAY NO TO FENDER FLARES!!! I have a 92 dak. I am currently doing a total body makeover. New hood, front fenders, roll pan, and newly discovered TRUCK BED. When i took the rear fender flares off, low and behold, no fenders. They had been totally devoured by rust. Im calling junk yards and trying to find a decent bed i can work with. I live in st louis, if anyone has one for sale, or knows of what other models truck beds will fit on a 92 dak, please let me know. Remember to say no to moisture collecting fender flares!

Maybe I go a bit too far to keep my cars and
trucks looking good. I even wax areas you never
look at like door jams, area of door hinges,
under the hood including seams, pick up box door
jam. Besides wax making them look good, wax also
makes water run off better.

My 02 Dak has plastic flares above all four
wheels. It's no big job at all to remove them
once a year, wax the fenders and replace.

I must be doing something right for my 79 AMC
still shows no signs of rust. And you all know
how the AMC's rotted IF not taken care of.

It's all about how much time you want to spend
on your ride. With todays prices for cars and
trucks I would think we would want to take better
care of them. You guys that lease, I'm sure you
never go to the degree I do.

Happy motoring!
