 Subject: Keyless entry

Went to lock my 01 Quad 4.7 litre the other day (with the key fob)and noticed it did not work. Tried it again, no luck. I figured it was the battery in the fob but my wifes does not work either. Got back in the truck and lights were really acting up (on/off, horn blowing etc.)
Anybody have an idea what the prob is?

you set off the alarm
the only way to turn it off is to put the key in the door and turnit to the unlock position weather or not the door is actually locked. or you can just wait till it stops blowin and blinkin and unlock it with the fob or the key, when you do the lights will blink once or twice and the horn will sound for a few times, but that is just to let you know that if the alarm went off and you could not here/see it as you were too far away, that it did go off and it might be wise to check in the cab before actually getting in as the reason it went off might be in the cab, waiting for you.
at least that is what is needed for my 97
