99, 318 auto. What happens is sometimes under light load and under 2k rpm truck will bog down and start bucking, backfireing through the intake. If I press down or let up the pedal problem goes away. No MIL, no pending codes etc. I have changed the plugs, wires, cap and button. Plugs all looked good. Brought it to a dealer and they cant figure it out, they thought maybe the cam or crank sensor. I have an actron scanner and everything looks good except when this is happening it shows the short term fuel trim at -30 a very lean condition. I have reprogrammed the PCM no avail, (hypertech power prog III) Is it possible the PCM is bad and doesnt show up on the dealer's scanner? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Fuel pressure looks good too, except for at idle it bounces between 30 and 40 psi very fast, dealer said it was definately not fuel pump/regulator related. So after 300$ of them "troubleshooting" I have no answers...

Have you ever upgraded the rockers?

If not, another possibility *might* be the TPS. That's just a guess though. Bad PCM is a possiblity, but I would put it probably towards the bottom of the list of possibilities. When under 2K RPM, what happens at WOT?
