 Subject: Evs plus alarm

I have the evs plus alarm. I went out of town, so I disconnected the battery. Now when I reconnect the battery the alarm just goes off.
Have tried turning the key to lock then unlock, also found a switch by the floorboards which looks like it connects to the alarm. No luck.
Anyone know how to disable this thing without cutting the wire to the alarms horn????

You have the remote, yes? When you reconnect the battery, hit button 1 on the remote, then button 2.
The alarm thinks the battery was disconnected while thieves stole your car. Now they're reconnecting it, and the alarm is trying to get them caught. That's my theory, anyway.

tried your suggestion, still having issues. I disconnected the alarm speaker so at least it isn't waking my neighbors. However, the alarm still activates and I have to press the button next to the alarm harness in order to start my truck.
Any other ideas??
