Ford or Chevy, who really cares. Both are over
rated, over priced garbage!
Speaking of over priced, the Durango for 04 is now
a year old. I got my first close up look at it the
other week. I thought is was ugly from a distance
but getting close to it, it really is butt ugly
and WAY over priced! The one I looked at had the
hemi and it is gonna be a real pain in the rear to
work on. They shoe horned it in and 1/4 of the
engine is under the firewall.
I think DaimlerChrysler is heading in the wrong
direction. Making the Durango a over grown SUV
and no more extended cab Rams is only going to
make die hard Chrysler fans begin to look else-
where for a new truck.
I sure hope Dakota's are not heading in the same
butt ugly direction.

sadlyl the dakotas are heading to that butt ugly direction. Did you see the '05s! NO offense to anyone that likes them, but thank god i bought my '04 and didnt wait.

too bad these designers have have a bigger ass than
brain,,..
no style , no how, these models plain suc k....
The 89-2003's Daks look and feel like a trick
truck...smooth, clean lines 2x4 0r 4x4.......

The '05 is ugly. I figured Dodge would make a design mistake. Dodge began screwing things up with the '01 Dak. They dumped numbers for letters on the instrument cluster. My '00 Dak's gauges, with the exception of the fuel gauge, have numbers! I know that the stock gauges may not be totally accurate but why in the hell would Dodge change the gauges from numbers to letters?
If I have a cooling problem what do I tell the mechanic, it's running at C, C/H? Or C/H to H?
Would the speedo or tach be easier to read if it said SLOW and FAST?
