First, I know this thread belongs in teh custom forums, but off the first 25 threads in that forum only 3 had replies.
Second, I have read the other threads on this topic, but most of them end up with a few kids in a pissing match about whose truck/penis is bigger.
SOOO... I'm installing LED lights in my bed. I need a 12V ALWAYS hot source. I can run directly from battery, but I want a nice clean install, and would rather splice into a hot wire. I DO NOT have the factory trailer harness. So where is my closest ALWAYS HOT +12VDC wire to my bed? Thanks...

your best bet is to connect to the battery lug at the fuse-box inside the engine compartment. The wire harnesses follow the drivers-side chassis rail all the way rearward, and each side of the bed has an access hole at the side near the top between the cab and bed.
