 Subject: V6 and V8 fuel injection harness

This is the question of the day. Is the V6 harness for the fuel injectors already wired for 8 injectors. I have noticed that there are two extra connectors (one on each side of the manifold and in front of the front injectors) that are what seems to be identical to the ones plugged into the injectors?
I ask this, because I am concidering an engine swap and this would make it a lot easier to do.
BTW, I have a 98 regular cab, short box V6 with a 5 speed.

my 99 v6 isn't wired for 8 cylinders, you should see if these
"extra connectors" of yours actually are for fuel injectors, the
injector harness is even numered for each cylinder on my truck,
try connecting them to see
maybe the previous owner monkeyed with the system to do the
same thing you want to do
