i have a 4" exhaust tip my brother took off his wrecked dakota, i was wondering would it make any deeper sound if i weld on the 4" tips or do i have to get a whole new muffler system or what. i just want a little deeper rumble sound on my 3.9.
would it work or what? what should i do that i can do myself with a few tac welds and not pay out the ass for it?

tips wont do anything, try a new muffler. i like the dynomax ultraflo. but thats my opinion.

Bigger tips will make a slight difference in sound(little deeper), but nothing too major. Just be sure to cut the exhaust pipe as soon as it enters the tip, in other wards don't let too much of the pipe extend into the tip after it starts flaring out to the 4".
