Message:
Ok! I just dropped a new engine in my dak cause I couldn`t figure out why there was no power and why it was smoking so much. I didn`t put the engine in myself, I got a buddy of mine to do it. Now I told him to through the old engine in the back. So there it sits. So do you people think there would be any usaful parts I could dig off of it? I just wanna learn ,thats why I`m doing so. What do yas think?

Its a 3.9. I dont really know how good of shape its in. It was burning all the oil and smooking like bass turd. The thing is, is that I dont have much room to store the parts. Thats why I would just like to know what the main parts I should go after, besides the oil pan and throttle body.

If you ever need a spare pump or Alternator then you got it in the back yard right?

when i did my swap from my dakota i drop a 5.2 318cid and had to use the old oil pump shaft, dip stick slide, timming cover, couple of sensors, and a small amount of other odds and ends. so i suggest keeping it for alittle while till you have all that you need off it then take it some where that'll give you some money on it as a core charge.
