How do you remove the knob from the shifter on a 95 Dakota 5 speed? I want to replace it with a T handle but I don't see any screws or nuts and I don't want to tear it up.

hadn't tried it yet on mine, but should be like most others. pop out the center of the knob. should be a lock nut under that. remove it and unscrew the knob.
