i just went today to have my truck inspected. it would'nt pass unless i had the ball joints replaced. all 4 of them were bad and costing me $495.00!!!! I AM NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get Moog Problem Solver ball joints from www.rockauto.com. Have a good shop, such as Big-O tires, install them for you. It will run you about $50 cheaper than the figure you posted, and that includes a front-end allignment.
Don't put the same factory junk back on your truck! Put some Moogs on there and get yourself some peace of mind.
