It happened early Tuesday morning, A drunk driver in a 79 C-10 lost control and crashed into my dak and my house and totaled my baby. I was looking foward to attending my first dakota meet this weekend in the dallas area, but not any more. Its going take a while for me to recover. But I will have another dak soon I hope. :(

Why cant people figure it out? If you cant walk,you sure as hell can,t drive!!! Man as far as I'm concerned,you get caught driving ,you lose it all,license,car everything for 1 year.Get caught again,better call a cab for the rest of your life!!

It's too bad he didn't plow into a tree and total himself. Sorry if that's not politically correct but I have no tolerance for alcoholics in general and especially ones who endanger innocent people on the road. Sorry to hear about your truck and house.

I'm sorry to here about or truck and house.I agree with you all if you want to drink stay at HOME!!!!!!I have learned my lesson because in March I got pulled over for DUI.Let me tell everyone this expeirence is one you do not want to get into.It is pure hell with all the fines and community service that they put on you.I am glad they pulled me over because I could of hurt me or someone else.PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!

Jesse, Sorry to here that man. I too have no tolerance for those who drink and drive. Nothing against have a few drinks, just dont get behind the wheel. Hope you have good insurance and they come through for you.

Sorry to hear that Jesse, I myself was hit by a drunk in Feb. of 2000. I lost my first Dakota when that happend. Just think of all the options that you wish you had gotten with the old Dakota and get them on the new one. Hopefully you can get some money off of this guy, I couldn't with mine though. I lost about $5,000 for something that wasen't my fault. Life can suck, but atleast you are alright. The Dakota can be replaced unlike people. Hope the house is not a complete loss also, take care and good luck. Get a lawyer ASAP!
