I have a 1999 5.2 cc w/15 gallon fuel tank.Has anyone installed a newer 22 gallon fuel tank in theirs im guessing it will fit right in but would like to know before I start looking for another. thanks

RC or CC. i think wheelbase will determine what will fit. if a CC i'd try a 24 gallon from a QC. might as well go all the way.

Bigger tanks are not " new "..
My 95 V6 , stand cab/short box, auto
has a 20 gallon tank from factory....

I researched tank size-models and found the 24 was offered on the quad cabs and the 22 was offered on the club cab.I figured to avoid any complications I would go with the 22 but would really like the 24.I will have to find out more.It stinks to have to stop for gas every 200 miles or so.thanks for the advice.

CC's & QC's have the same 131" wheelbase. a RC only has a 113" wheelbase. you should be able to fit the 24 gall tank in there. i know mines runs from under the back seat to about 6 inches from the rear axle.

If you go for a 24 gal out of a Quad Cab and don't need/want the skid plate, drop me a line. I'm looking for a QC fueltank skid plate. My QC is a 2001, but I don't htink it makes a difference.

the only way you will get a 20 gallon tank out of ANY 97 dak is to find one custom made, a 22 gallon was the standard for the RC SLT and on the CC S, S+, SLT, and SLT+,all other has a 15 gallon tank as standard with the 22 gallon as an option NONE came with a 20 gallon tank.
