I just replaced the rear bearings and the brakes on my 99 Dakota. I have noticed a nice grinding noise coming from the rear end. t seems to be coming from the left side. It only occurs when I am backing up or I am in a tight turn. The noise will go away after a few turns, but will return after driving straight for some time. I also have a hum coming from the front end that is speed sensitive. It is louder in a left turn.

Any ideas for all of these noises? Thanks in advance.

BTW - Thanks for the information JAG - I replaced the left rear exhaust bearing, but it was located in the fuse box. LOL!!!!!!!!!!

When you replaced the bearings, did you also replace the races?
