I've reached the end of my patience with this truck. I bought it new less than three months ago, and it hasn't had one single trouble free day since. When I took delivery on it, the front end was way out of alignment and one of the tires was defective. The very day I finally got those problems solved, a new problem surfaced with the steering. So far I've had it in three times for the steering problem, and they just can't fix it. With the third attempt, they actually made it worse--now, on top of the problem I already had, the steering shaft knocks and rattles when I drive over rough pavement.
So far it's been in for service a total of 7 times in the 10 weeks I've owned it. I have a job and a life--I just don't have time to sit in the waiting room every week with this truck.
I've already put in a call to the general manager or the owner of the dealership, and one of them is supposed to call me back tomorrow. What can I expect? Are they going to have me bring it in again for another appointment to try and fix it? It seems like that would be pointless now--they'd probably end up making it worse again.

What state are you in? Laws vary according to state. I believe in California it's three appointments to fix the same problem qualifies you. Check your local DMV website, there will a lemon law link on there somewhere. Don't be intimidated if the GM is a jerk, use the words legal action and better business bureau and the DMV law.

I'm in PA. It is three unsuccessful attempts here, but the catch is that you have to proceed through Chrysler's rules first, and that means 1) seeking resolution through the dealership, and 2)seeking resolution through Chrysler before you can appeal to the Lemon Laws.

I'm in SC and have went through a buy back on a 03 Trail Blazer. In SC the manifactor has three attemps in a timely manor to fix the same problem before you can call on the Lemon Law. In our case we had an electrical problem that started at 250 miles. All the cages would go dead and you couldn't get the doors open or the engine started. It had to be towed three times before it had six hundred mile on it. We went in a talked to the general manager after the third attemp. We explained that we didn't want the car even if they did get it fixed (never did), because you pay a premium for a new car for peace of mind. He talked to GM and got the ball rolling. I think we were dealing with a good dealership, and it didn't hurt to have a crying wife with an additude. It took about three months, but we got a new car. My advise is to stay on top of your dealer and write down everything. We had to keep calling the GM rep. almost daily to get him to react after the dealer did there part. The dealer stands to loose nothing so they should work with you. Good Luck !
