Can anyone tell me how to apply Mopar decals?
I just bought the "Dakota" and "Sport" door decals from the dealer, but they don't come with any instructions. I assume they're applied wet, but I'm not sure how to do it. Thanks!

If they are vinyl then clean the surface and strip away any wax
on the part of the vehicle you are applying them to. You might
want to use a spray bottle with some soap and water in it to wet
down the area you are applying it to. Peel off the backing and
place the decal onto the body panel and squeegee it flat. Make
sure to get rid of every bubble possible. Work from the center
outward to chase out air bubbles. Don't be afraid to push hard
with the squeegee. When I say squeegee I mean something like
a plastic spreader that comes with bondo. It's just a piece of
flexible plastic about the size of a wallet with a fine edge at one
end. Then slowly peel off the other piece of backing material.

I just checked the decals again and on the back it says "3M Scotchcal High Performance Film Automotive Grade". Is it vinyl?

Yes, 3M is vinyl. Windex is a handy solution to spray for decal alignment, because it gives you enough time for the application, then evaporates.

I was told not to use windex-it interferes with the adhesive.

Just one more question - I promise. A few weeks ago I applied a polish called Turtle Wax 2001. It's a silicone and resin formula. How can I remove it in the area that I want to apply the decals without messing up the paint?
Thanks again.
