Subject: Amsoilers seem paranoid!

Am loving these oil wars. The only conclusion I can draw, is that the amsoilers really work hard to justify their purchase and use of amsoil. Hey, you work hard for your money too, so do anything you want with it, you need answer to no one!

Well, you know, enthusiasts are a funny lot anyway. Sometimes only the best(even if it's outright overkill)will do. The touted four-ball wear test is sure impressive, but there isn't any part interface in a reciprocating engine that duplicates that test. Simple gears and plain bearings, that's it.

I believe the Amsoil guys are only trying to educate the un-educated people. The people that think they know everything. As my favorite saying is......."You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink"

They don't seem parnoid to me - just defensive to attacks by many who often don't seem to use good science. As a mobil one user myself, I use synthetics for better protection - but have never seen a performance improvement I could feel from it - makes me wonder about anyone who claims they can feel better performance than Amsoil using it. Unfortunately there's a similar quote that might apply. "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig."

I use Amsoil in everything I own and I can tell a big difference in
fuel consumption, temps. and the extended life of my
equipment.

I don't care what oil other people use as long as I can get
Amsoil.

Shrink,

Amsoil Dealers are not paranoid.

We are just tired of the "Quickie Lubes" and advertisements misleading consumers into believing that all motor oils have to be changed at 3,000 mile intervals, wasting a valuable resource and costing the consumers more money.

AMSOIL has 30+ years of oil analysis data showing their oils provide extended interval drain service capabilities. Big oil companies can't argue with that data or explain it away. They would prefer that you "buy into the myth" of 3k mile oil changes because it adds profits to their bottom line.

Making a blanket statement that additives in oil begin to die after only 2k to 3k miles is simply put ... wrong.

It is true that the additives in many oils begin breaking down after only a few thousand miles. What needs to be recognized is that there are different qualities or “grades” of additives just as there are different qualities or "grades" of just about any other product that you buy. There are also different combinations of additives that tend to work better ...and for longer periods ... when combined ... than when they are used individually.

AMSOIL offers extended drain intervals because the oil and additive packake is properly balanced, blended, and capable of performing for extended drains.

Now the entire industry is moving in that direction. It has been published that automotive manufacturers will be recommending extended drain intervals of up to 15,000 miles in the near future ... because that's what consumers want.

Amsoil's Extended Oil Drain Interval: It is the right thing to do for the consumer, for the environment, and a way to reduce american dependence on foreign oil. Longer intervals = less oil used = less oil wasted = less money out of your wallet.

AMSOIL Synthetic Oil surpasses the North American AAMA, Japanese JASO and European ACEA oil specifications for high temperature/high shear viscosity protection. Oil drain intervals in Asia and Europe are approximately 15k miles because their oil specifications are higher than the API specification in America. American consumers are getting shafted ... PERIOD!
