 Subject: 1999 4x4 Suspension stump

I'm currious... I was talking with my friend about getting some blestiens shocks (spelling? sorry) and we were looking under my dakota (1999 3.9 4x4 CC) and the front suspension has no springs?!?! theres just the shock and no coil spring around it or anything? how does that work? just curious cuz ive never seen that one before... i may just be totally dumb here but its worth finding out whats up with that haha thanks guys

Torsion bars are used similar to most pre-1980 mopar cars. The twisting of the steel bar creats a type of spring action.
