To date I'm not very impressed with my Dak. I've owned it for 18 months and it's been in the shop for repair 4 times. Maybe that's an average but my warranty is set to expire and I have a gut feeling it's going to cost me down the road. Now my ball joints are starting to go out! Yet no recall on an obvious safety problem. Locking rear differential..watch out! If yours is new have your rear differential checked prior to 36,000 miles. The ABS sensor can come off in offroad conditions and gets ground up by your gears causing metal contamination. Breaks hopefully will be addressed in 05. Always feels like my rotors are warped. 6 out of 10 for the Dakota. Decent ride but it could be better.
