I have a 99 with a 3.9 auto with 29,000mi on it that I bought about 5 months ago. Ever since I got it I've noticed that it is rather difficult to shift into reverse from park. This happens even if if the truck is not parked on an incline. If I pass reverse the truck shifts smoothly into drive. It also is rough to shift from drive to neutral -for example waiting for a train to pass. Also, when I decelerate to come to a stop the engine jumps at 10mph from 900rpm to about 1400rpm. This happens all the time although it cannot always be felt. It seems as though the trck is shifting down from 2nd to 1st. I was wondering if I shoud take it in and let the dealer worry about this or are some of these things obvious on other/all daks.
