doesn't the fuel injector already atomize your fuel? how many times do you need your fuel atomized anyway ?

Theory of Operation

Why it works
Few people realize that gasoline engines can only run when the fuel is atomized (vaporized) because liquid gasoline will flood the engine. Your present vehicle can only atomize 10 to 20% of each gallon of fuel. The FUEL ATOMIZER 2000 can, in most cases, double the atomizing process thereby giving you a substantial increase in mileage.

How it works
1. Gas is fed to the Fuel Atomizer from the fuel line.
2. Crankcase gasses are passed through the Fuel Atomizer. Sludge from the fumes is separated and collected in the sludge chamber.
3. Liquid gasoline is turned to vapor gas as it travels from the Fuel Atomizer and is then injected into the intake manifold.
4. The liquid gas passing through the present fuel system is decreased to compensate for the added vapor gas

That's just half the story!
Because the burning vaporized fuel is more efficient, an engine will run cleaner and release fewer emissions into the atmosphere. One customer reported that his vehicle with over 100,000 miles failed the emissions test. Four weeks after installing the FUEL ATOMIZER 2000, the vehicle was retested and the examiner was astonished that the results showed less harmful emissions than a brand new engine.

Fuel Injected Systems:
On fuel injected vehicles the oxygen sensor senses the extra vapor and signals the computer to shut down the liquid gas passing through the injector(s). The Fuel Atomizer acts as a supplement to your present fuel system, therefore any added gas to the system will result in less gas going through the injectors. The fuel we add is a vapor gas, therefore less gas is required to maintain the same air to fuel mixture that the 02 sensor picks up.

That tells you all you need to know about these people. O2 sensor sense O2, not fuel vapor. The electrical signal is a response to the concentration of oxygen.

Hucksters.

To increase your gas milaeage, sell the Dakota and get a Geo Metro. You bought the wrong vehicle.

If you bought the automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive (especially the full-time 4-wheel) with 3.92 gears, you've really gone wrong.

My Quad cab with 5-speed manual, 4.7L, and 3.55 gears gave 23.6 MPG from Coos Bay, Oregon to Marysville, CA on a tank, without the alarm going off. That was with a full load of firewood in the bed and two 20 gallon tubs with all our luggae in them on the tailgate.

I'm not complaining about that, considering there were two mountain ranges to climb through with long 6-7% grades.

Living here in California costs us 2MPG alone, due to the "pre-oxidized" fuel that has MTBE in it. Nearly a 10% penalty. I do not see how the law makers think that will clean up the environment when I have to burn 10% MORE hydrocarbon based fuel.

But it DOES make sense for the companies that sell the fuel. Think of it, if the entire nation burns 10% more fuel, the "shortages" will occur more frequently, and "supply and demand" dictates higher prices for same amount of product, increasing the profit margins immensely.

I should tell the California lawmakers I have an infinite motion machine I'll sell to everyone to replace their engines.... If I put enough money in their pockets, they'd make it law.

Last year DC spent a few million bux to increase efficiency by 4%. Think about that: 4% is <1 mpg. If they could increase mileage by 50% for $149.95 per vehicle, don't you think they would have done that?
