Is it hard to install upper and lower ball joints. My truck is a 99' Dak 4x4.

It's not hard if you have some place to work on your truck. You'll need a grinder or some other way to remove the rivets holding the ball joints in place. I've heard some had success drilling them out. Once you get the old ones out it's easy to install the new ones. Depending who you talk to you may/may not need an alignment. I got one.

any time you work on the parts that control the steering knuckle you need to get an alignment. this includes work on the upper/lower A arms and any parts connected to the steering box, including the box. replacing the joints will effect caster and camber and to a lesser extent, but still, effects toe.

I found a WMI or AVI movie somewhere that illustrated the entire process compete with music in the background. I will see if I can locate it...
