 Subject: need advice-buying '02 dak

I am looking to buy a used 02 dak quad 4x4 auto 4.7v8. Initially I was looking at a new 04, but too much.
Can I get some smart guys here to give me advice on what this truck is like? What problems the 02's had that I should be looking for?
I have heard all about the bearing problems. Is this a problem for the 02's still?
The guy treats it like a baby, only 22000 kms(sorry, i'm in canada).

I just bought an 04 CC loaded sport plus. Factory rebates and dealer rebates I got this Dak out the door for 23. 4.7, 5 spd auto, 4 wheel disc, 4 wd, power everything, nice, power, heated rear views too.
I traded in a 2002 sxt 3.9, glad i did that because the price and great interest rate got me a lower monthly on a way better truck.

Well of course I would want an 04 instead. but your prices are different. In canada, a loaded 04 QC is $35k Invoice price.
with rebates (and Doodge being a little retarded, and only offering ONE insentive at a time) you only get $2k off, OR the good interest rate.

tru dat wanna dak!!!!! i am from canada too and when i told everyone the price they all said i was crazy and was payin too much.i just ordered an 04 QC fully loaded with all upgraded options, leather, chrome appearance pkg and hard tonneau cover....$35668 +tx= $41000. wow. hefty price tag but when i get it, it will put my 01 QC to shame.and that is with me cutting all their profits on the EXTRAS.

Hmm, since nobody seems to be answering your question, here's what I've learned from having an '01 w/the 4.7 and 00' w/the 5.9.
1)front rotors will warp-I'd turn 'em till they're under spec, and replace w/NON-Dodge (look on this forum for suggestions).
2) I've recently seen a few posts about oil sludge buildup w/higher miles/kms (60k/90k+).
3) electric door actuators - I replaced one on my '00.
