I have an 01 4.7L QC 4X4 W/114,000 miles. For the most part the truck runs great. But every now and then it has trouble starting. It will sputter and stall a few times. It won't rev up past 1k rpms. After feathering the gas for a bit the problem will clear and the truck will run fine. Sometimes I do notice excessive fan noise though. Like the fan is reving real high then that clears too. I'm thinking it's an injector or fuel filter. The last time this happened the Check engine light came on solid and is still on. I think it got clogged from the truck "running rough" for a few minutes.
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks guys!!!

1 More thing I should mention I have done a tune up. Plugs- Botch Platnium 2
Cold air intake
Throttle body spacer (Waste of money)
The problem exsisted before and after the tune up
